Prague Studio Damúza prepared a new puppet tale based on Isaac Bashevis Singer work The Fools of Chelm and Their History for this year‘s Mazal Tov Festival.

What happens when five sages meet at one table: Gronam Ox, Treitel Fool, Dopey Lekisch, Shmendrick Numskull and Zeinvel Ninny? Can they solve the problems of the little town? How shall one punish an ill-mannered carp; who should marry whom so that disaster does not happen; and what to do when sour cream is scarce? Merry tales of human foolishness, naivety and love.

As one Jewish saying goes: “Don’t approach a goat from the front, a horse from the back, or a fool from any side.”

The performance is suitable for children from the age of 4 and their parents.

The event is a part of the platform Visegrad Space supported by the International Visegrad Fund.
